These photographs are from my mum’s personal collection, and are my ancestors. My mum is doing her family tree and has lots of vintage photographs.

It’s always nice to add vintage photos to your vintage or grunge style journals, and even shabby chic ones too. I just love using them and I will come up with some ideas for you very soon on ways you can incorporate them in your projects.

How To Make A Soft Spine Junk Journal Cover

Hi peeps. In the following video I show you how to make a Junk Journal Cover with a soft spine.

I used an old book cover for the front and back, covered it with fabric and then made the soft spine with some grungy papers and fabric. I have a video tutorial on how to create your own grungy papers here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OG2OntV1S0https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OG2OntV1S0

I then glued the spine to the cover and put in some eyelets, and threaded some silk ribbon through the holes.
